For more than 20 years our emphasis has been a commitment to environmental sensitivity in design and construction of gardens, a philosophy which corresponds to the trend which has become known as "Sustainable Landscaping." The gardens we have created have at the same time won numerous awards for both design and construction. We are licensed, fully insured and bonded.

In our designs we have always tried to be environmentally responsible and therefore our strengths lie in areas that more traditional contractors may have little experience with. We have been creating waterwise gardens for over 20 years and therefore possess considerable knowledge of the particular needs of native plants, Mediterraneans and other drought tolerant species. Another specialty is hillside plantings for erosion control & fire safety. In support of plantings, we install water efficient irrigation systems as well as conventional irrigation.

Among hardscape features we are uniquely capable to execute are those which exploit recycled materials. We build mortared and dry-laid broken concrete walls, paving and mowing strips. We have often built decks, curbs, compost bins and more from used railroad ties or plastic lumber. We have experience with many kinds of permeable paving materials such as decomposed granite, stabilized D.G., gravel, and interlocking pavers.
